Laura Wells -- President of The Heart Link Network
Laura lives in Allen, Texas – a suburb of Dallas. She and her husband Jeremy have two children – Mason,13 and Mekenna, 10. Married at 17, Laura had no experience in the “corporate” world, but like many women, she was networking before she even realized what networking was. As a 19 year old stay-at-home mom, Laura was introduced to Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). MOPS helps mothers of young children connect, learn, share and feel empowered as they parent a preschooler. Not long after joining MOPS, because of her leadership abilities and enthusiasm, Laura was elected as Treasurer & Membership Chair for the Las Vegas, NV MOPS Chapter. Within a short time she and the MOPS Steering Team nearly doubled the size of the Las Vegas chapter, which grew to serve over 100 women. A couple years later, Laura helped launch a new MOPS chapter across town serving working moms during a night-time MOPS event. Both chapters were extremely successful and continued to grow as they birthed new chapters in the area in order to serve even more women in the community. This was Laura’s first opportunity to experience the power, purpose and effectiveness of women creating strong and nurturing relationships as they "linked hearts" to support one another.
Laura went on to achieve great success as a Direct Sales team leader and trainer. During her 12-year career in Direct Sales, Laura built strong teams and developed leaders nationwide. She received multiple awards from two well-known Direct Sales companies for Top Sales, Top Recruiting, and Leadership Excellence. Laura served in an elected position on a Technology Committee, was a featured National Convention speaker, a member of corporate-office and field member focus groups, and led multiple tele-classes for her colleagues in those companies in order to help them grow their businesses.
In addition to serving as President of The Heart Link Network, Laura also loves sharing her home-based business, SendOutCards. Laura is also The Heart Link Area Coordinator in Allen, Texas and loves holding her events. She continues to be active in the PTA, and is a true “soccer mom”. She is proud of her daughter Mekenna for her community service as a volunteer at the city Animal Shelter. She is also proud of her son Mason for excelling in academics and his participation in Robotics for his school.
Laura has a special talent for making business connections happen within her community and beyond, and has a unique passion to help women business owners and women who are involved in their community get connected and grow through The Heart Link Network. Laura’s favorite part of the Heart Link Network is witnessing time and time again, the power that a meaningful connection can create in women's lives. She loves seeing women grow their businesses by giving and supporting one another and feeling safe enough to share what they need to achieve their dreams.
